A delegation from the Quang Tri Province Border Guard Command, led by Colonel Nguyen Ba Duyet, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, donated crime prevention equipment valued at VND 800 million (approximately US$33,000) to the police department of Salavan Province, Laos.

The handover took place at the La Lay international border gate on October 8. It is part of the efforts to strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Laos and improve Salavan’s ability to combat crime effectively.
Colonel Viengsavanh Sihachak, Deputy Director of the Salavan Police Department, expressed gratitude for supporting and committed to using the equipment efficiently. The two parties also discussed enhancing cooperation to maintain border security and raising public awareness among residents on both sides about the importance of respecting national laws.
