As part of the ongoing visit to the central province of Quang Tri, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a high-profile delegation on July 26 offered incense and laid wreaths in tribute at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, the National Martyrs Cemetery on Road No.9, and at the General Secretary Le Duan Memorial Site in Hau Kien Hamlet, Trieu Phong Commune.

The memorial ceremony was attended by Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission and Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra, and Vice Chairman of the Central Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Bui Quang Huy.
Representatives from Quang Tri Province included provincial Party Committee Le Ngoc Quang; Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai; Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Phong; members of the provincial People’s Council, the provincial People’s Committee, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, as well as leaders of various provincial departments and agencies.

In a solemn atmosphere, the prime minister, delegation members, and provincial leaders observed a moment of silence to honor and express their profound respect and gratitude for the heroic martyrs’ immense sacrifices in the cause of national liberation and reunification.

At the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegates pledged to uphold the tradition of patriotism and national pride, to unite their efforts in steadfastly protecting Vietnam, and to confidently advance into a new era marked by prosperity, strength, civilization, and happiness for the people.

At the General Secretary Le Duan Memorial Site, the prime minister and delegation held a moment of remembrance to honor Le Duan’s significant contributions to the nation’s liberation and reunification, expressing appreciation for the dedicated communist leader, an exceptional figure of the Vietnamese revolution, and a proud son of Quang Tri.
