South Korean company seeks investment opportunities in Quang Tri

Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Hung on June 8 met with representatives from K Global-Mobility, a subsidiary of the TATA DAEWOO Group from South Korea, to discuss and explore investment opportunities in the province.

During the meeting, the delegates watched a video introducing Quang Tri Province, highlighting its strengths and future directions, as well as a video about the operations of K Global-Mobility.

Ko Younghak, Chairman of K Global-Mobility, stated that the company is involved in the production and business of Daewoo commercial vehicles and high-tech agriculture linked with tourism development.

As one of South Korea’s leading companies in high-tech agriculture, the company aims to explore investment opportunities in Quang Tri, including building a factory for manufacturing and assembling auto parts, establishing a logistics center, and developing high-tech agriculture.

Additionally, the company is interested in investing in human resource training, vocational training for Vietnamese workers in South Korea, and recruiting employees to work for the group in Vietnam, Ko noted.

Ko expressed hope that Quang Tri’s leaders would show support and offer favorable policies to facilitate the company’s investment exploration.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Hung agreed that the company’s two main areas of operation align well with the province’s development orientation.

He emphasized Quang Tri’s outstanding potentials, advantages, and stable, transparent investment environment, which present opportunities for businesses to invest and operate effectively and sustainably in the province.

Quang Tri Province committed to providing all necessary support and favorable conditions for the company to conduct surveys and promote investment in the area in the near future, Hung said.
