Thai investor plans to invest in renewable energy projects in Quang Tri

Deputy Permanent Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Quang Tri province Ha Sy Dong on May 13 met with a delegation of Thai businesses led by Piboon Pimpisittaworn, Chairman of Blue Star Golf Course Company, to explore investment opportunities and cross-border cooperation.

During the meeting, Dong provided an overview of the province’s potential, advantages, and preferential policies in various economic and social sectors.

In recent years, alongside efforts to enhance internal resources and attract investment, Quang Tri province has continuously improved its investment environment, facilitating businesses to research and implement projects locally. Currently, there are 6 industrial zones and economic zones in the province with completed infrastructure, meeting the investment and business needs of enterprises, Dong said.

In the exchange during the meeting, representatives of the Thai business delegation highly praised the province’s development progress.

They also expressed their desire for support and collaboration from the Provincial People’s Committee in land allocation and investment facilitation for resort and golf course development, as well as cooperation in various sectors, particularly renewable energy and clean energy.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Permanent Chairman Ha Sy Dong appreciated the investment cooperation proposals from the Thai business delegation.

He instructed the Department of Industry and Trade to connect with businesses to introduce and guide investment in the energy sector. Regarding the proposal for resort and golf course investment, Quang Tri province will review its planning and provide further information to the delegation.
