MoUs signed at Quang Tri trade connection event

On June 7, in Dong Ha City, the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee collaborated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize a business-to-business trade connection conference between suppliers from the North Central region and Lao enterprises and export companies and trade promotion organizations.

At the conference, a signing ceremony was held for 50 memorandums of understanding on cooperation between suppliers from the North Central region and export enterprises and trade promotion organizations.

The conference provided a valuable opportunity for enterprises to exchange ideas, cooperate and expand their markets, share experiences, learn about market information, promote production and, connect supply and demand, and develop distribution systems to meet the needs of consumers nationwide.

Suppliers can connect with foreign agencies, enterprises, and trade promotion organizations to boost goods exports and directly support Vietnamese enterprises in exporting to overseas distribution networks.

The event featured a range of products, including One Commune One Product (OCOP), rural industrial, regional specialty, and service items. These products must comply with quality, food safety, labeling, and legality standards to meet export requirements.

At the conference, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee Le Duc Tien asked the provincial investment, trade, and tourism center and industry department to closely coordinate with industry departments and trade promotion centers nationwide to proactively propose solutions to support enterprises in product supply-demand connections, focusing on sustainable supply chains.

He added that the province will increase the number of direct supply-demand connection events annually. It will also support manufacturers in improving quality, designing and diversifying products, and building and developing brands.

Additionally, Tien emphasized the need to promote e-commerce for online product connections, establishing digital distribution, and facilitating cross-border exports.
