At the meeting, Nam informed the delegation of the province’s history, land and people. After the war, the people of Quang Tri faced many problems due to the contamination left by bombs and mines.
He added that the support from many organizations, including MAG, has been of great significance to the province. Over the past 25 years, the organization has actively collaborated with local sectors and other organizations in environmental projects, achieving significant progress in mine clearance activities and making the lives of the local people safer.
Nam expressed deep gratitude for the support of MAG and hopes that the organization will continue to improve the effectiveness of its activities and further support the province in mine clearance, contributing to the goal of becoming a “safe province”.
The organization is expected to closely coordinate with relevant organizations, projects, and units to promptly complete surveys, map out dangerous areas in the province, and support the provincial Post-war Mine Action Steering Committee and related units in enhancing their capacity and effectiveness.
