Quang Tri Chairman joins Prime Minister on a visit to South Korea

With the endorsement of the Prime Minister and the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Vo Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Quang Tri People’s Committee, will accompany the Prime Minister and his wife on an official visit to South Korea from June 30 to July 3, 2024.

As part of the official work program, on July 1, at the Vietnam-South Korea Business Forum in Seoul, Chairman of the Quang Tri People’s Committee, Vo Van Hung, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with T&T Group and SK E&S Corporation in the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, central ministry representatives, and business communities from both countries. The MOUs focus on investment cooperation, trade, energy transition, and green growth, and include an agreement with SK Group on developing energy solutions in Quang Tri province.

These significant MOUs aim to help Quang Tri achieve its goal of becoming the central energy hub of the Central region in the coming years.

Prior to this, Chairman Vo Van Hung attended the “Meeting South Korean Friends” conference, visited the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in South Korea, and participated in an investment and business promotion roundtable with leaders of nearly 20 leading South Korean corporations in various fields, following the Prime Minister’s assignment.
