Local border guard of Quang Tri Province has cracked another illegal emigration activity.
The Border Guard Command of Quang Tri Province early this week announced they had exposed an organization that uses Vietnam’s territory to arrange illegal immigration for Chinese people to Laos.
The Border Guard Command reported that the case was unveiled on the morning of April 22 near Landmark 606 (1) in Tay Chin Village of Huong Hoa District’s Lao Bao Town.

Accordingly, local border guard officials caught red-handed 18-year-old Ho Van Vin, residing in Group 2, Ka Tang Village, Lao Bao Town, as he was taking four Chinese men to enter Laos illegally.
One of the four Chinese seized on the field is Shi Shao Ming, a 39-year-old Chinese residing in Hunan Province. Three other Chinese people took advantage of the rugged mountainous terrain and fled to Laos.
After conducting a pursuit, the three fled Chinese men were arrested later on the same day. These included Su Wen Gen (34 years old), residing in Fujian Province; Yao Jlan Feng (20 years old) in Chongqing City, and Li Wel (24 years old) in Sichuan Province.

After interrogations, Ho Van Vin admitted that he had picked up and transported the four Chinese people from Tay Chin Village of Lao Bao Town to the area of Landmark 606 (1). For each Chinese person who successfully enters Laos, Vin receives 400,000 Lao kip (US$18.74).
According to the four Chinese men, they wanted to enter Laos and work as unskilled laborers. However, they had no passports or other equivalent papers, so they were taken from China to arrive in Laos through Vietnam.
The entire costs were covered by an unknown organization in Laos.
The case is now under further investigation.
