Quang Tri Province wants to cooperate with German partners in Halle City, Sachsen-Anhalt State to provide support for overseas Vietnamese living in Germany, heard a meeting on January 11.
Local departments and agencies suggested that Halle-based government units, companies and universities provide further training for Vietnamese students and workers in the city and other German localities.

They also proposed that Quang Tri Province receive German specialists to develop highly-skilled staff for local vocational training centers.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ha Sy Dong said that Vietnam and Germany have gone through 40 years of diplomatic relations, and that Quang Tri is now home to many German projects.
He said that provincial authorities and subordinate units will work closely with German investors and organizations to make utmost efforts and bring about the best profits for both sides in long run.
According to the delegation of Halle City, Germany now lacks young, skilled labor force, and many domestic companies and organizations are looking for Vietnamese employees for their qualities.
Thus, the Germany delegation proposed to work with local education and training centers to find and select the right persons that can take up the jobs in Germany. German officials also answered inquiries from Quang Tri counterparts about the labor market, training programs, income and working conditions in Germany.
At the meeting, Halle delegation introduced their major partner, the EI Education and Investment Group (EI Group), who has assisted the German city to explore the highly-potential Vietnamese workers.
During the discussion, Quang Tri Department of Education and Training and EI Group inked a consensus on their bilateral cooperation in 2024-2028. The agreement aims to boost Quang Tri Province’s relations in cultural exchange, human resources development, and technical and technological transferring with its German partners.
