Quang Tri Province and Mukdahan Province, Thailand, on August 5 signed a cooperation plan for 2025-2030.

Speaking at the signing ceremony on August 5, Vo Van Hung, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, said that the two provinces have collaborated since their first agreement signed in January 2005.
He highlighted the significance of the Mukdahan delegation’s visit in enhancing their relationship. The two provinces are actively implementing their action program for 2022-2027, leveraging their shared cultural, natural, and resource similarities to bolster cooperation in various sectors.

At the signing ceremony, delegates from the two localities focused on discussing key tasks and solutions and made commitments to accelerate cooperation in all areas in the coming time.
Quang Tri and Mukdahan provinces agreed on the cooperation plan for 2025 - 2030 in areas such as economy, investment, trade and tourism, human resource development, communication and promotion.

The two provinces will support local businesses in seeking investment opportunities. In particular, local authorities prioritize cooperation in several areas, such as high-tech agriculture, seafood processing, tourism, and passenger and cargo transportation.

The two sides will also enhance cooperation in human resource development, supporting universities and vocational training programs, granting scholarships to students, and organizing high-quality vocational training. They will also coordinate in promoting their local cultures through videos, reports, and documentaries featuring people’s lifestyles, landscapes, and historical and cultural relics.

Mukdahan Governor Vorayan Bunarat praised Quang Tri’s achievements and the 19-year partnership between the two provinces, expressing confidence in future development. He said his visit to Quang Tri aimed to explore economic and tourist opportunities in the province and sign an agreement based on the two sides' potential strengths and similarities.
