The national museum in Quang Tri aims to preserve war memories, promote peace, and attract cultural tourism.
Government and relevant sectors will assist Quang Tri in building a national museum with the them “War Memories and Aspiration for Peace”, according to a notice from the Officie of the Party Central Committee issued following General Secretary To Lâm’s recent visit to Quảng Trị Province on October 15-16.The museum is expected to become a cultural landmark, attracting visitors and serving as an educational center for history and national heritage. It is one of the initiatives supported by the Party, Government and relevant ministry to help Quang Tri Province overcome bottlenecks and challenges, promoting socio-economic growth.
The province will receive support to fully leverage the East-West Economic Corridor, expand development westward as outlined in Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW, and complete National Highway 15D, which links My Thuy Port to the La Lay international border gate. Additionally, a plan will be developed to invest in the Cam Lộ - Lao Bảo expressway to further enhance regional connectivity.The Government and relevant ministries are tasked with prioritizing renewable energy development, including research to incorporate plans for wind power, solar power, LNG projects, and the continued import of energy from Laos to strengthen the supply of clean energy.The Central Party Committee Office will work with the Politburo and the Party Secretariat to consider Quang Tri Province’s proposals, which include the “Socio-Economic Development Project in partnership with Lao provinces for westward expansion”, the “Con Co Island District Development Project” as well as initiatives to establish the Lao Bao - Densavan Cross-Border Economic and Trade Zone.
