The converged newsroom will integrate multi-platform publishing, including print, online, and specialized electronic pages with prominent technological features to optimize workflow, Loi said.

Reporters and editors can manage, edit, and publish content across print, online, specialized electronic pages, and the digital platforms from a single interface with one login while the system supports multiple languages, various formats, and offers high customization, he said.

According to the Editor-in-Chief, all professional departments can track progress, exchange ideas, and collaborate on content production. The editorial board plays a coordinating role, ensuring all works meet high standards and are published on time.

At its core, the converged newsroom is a platform where all tools, platforms, data, workflows, and organizational management processes of a media outlet “converge”. This optimizes content production processes, enhances operational efficiency, and significantly saves costs and human resources. The system can be summarized into four main areas, namely content management (CMS), workflow optimization, AI integration, and professional print layout integration.

One of the standout features of Kinh te & Do thi's Converged Newsroom is the integration of an electronic office with advanced cloud storage technology. Tasks such as document management and sharing, approving official dispatches, internal reporting, and signing documents are all digitized and synchronized within a unified system.

The new system operates on both desktop and mobile versions. Using just a smartphone, journalists and reporters can access the system anytime, anywhere to write articles, track tasks, and receive relevant notifications easily.

In terms of advertising management, especially digital advertising, the digital ecosystem of Kinh te & Do thi can directly manage advertising contracts, the number of articles per contract, banner quantities, contract value, payment status, pending contract approvals, and approved contract lists.

Furthermore, within its digital ecosystem, Kinh te & Do thi has developed an online newspaper distribution platform, allowing media agencies to charge subscription fees and manage readership through PDF-based distribution on the platform.
