Trade promotion
Deputy Director of the Center for Promotion of Investment, Trade and Tourism Tran Phi Tuong said that the Quang Tri People’s Committee would collaborate with the Ministry of Trade and Industry to organize the Trans-Asia Bridge Fair 2024 and the Trade Connection Program between suppliers in the North Central region, exporters and trade promotion organizations in June this year.
Quang Tri is Vietnam’s frontline on the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) connecting the country with Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) through the Lao Bao International Border Gate and La Lay International border gate. Held every three years, the Trans-Asia Bridge Fair aims to promote trade and enhance the reputation and brand of Quang Tri Province.

During the fairs organized in 2012, 2015, and 2018, the province yearly gathered over 700 domestic and foreign businesses and organizations, including about 100 companies from Laos, Thailand, and China, displaying nearly 1,500 booths—many contracts and memoranda of understanding on product development and distribution were signed.
Taking place from June 6 to June 12, 2024, at the Quang Tri Provincial Convention Service Center, the Trans-Asia Bridge Fair 2024 is a momentum for Quang Tri to deploy trade promotion activities.
The fair will take place based on the development orientation of the domestic and export markets. Through this event, businesses and organizations will strengthen cooperation, boost the economy, expand markets, and promote brands of import and export products. This is also an opportunity for Quang Tri to spread tourism to other provinces and cities in the country, as well as those in EWEC and the GMS region.
The fair is expected to display over 400 standard booths of nearly 300 businesses, units and trade promotion organizations.
Moreover, the B2B program will gather suppliers in the North Central region, export businesses, and trade promotion organizations under the national trade promotion program in 2024 and connect businesses with agencies and foreign trade promotion organizations in Vietnam, thereby promoting the export of goods.

The fair will be a forum for businesses and distributors from localities in the North Central region and the whole country to share experience on production and market information, promote production and develop distribution systems.
The fair will also promote One Commune One Product (OCOP), traditional rural industrial products, and typical products of localities. Displaying products must meet standards of quality, hygiene, and safety. It will display enterprises’s products, with special priority given to energy-saving and environmentally friendly products.
Improving tourism services
Under the theme “Joining hands to create a peaceful world”, the Festival for Peace is a new, unique and humane tourism product of Quang Tri. This is a great opportunity to promote Quang Tri tourism, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has worked with industries and districts, towns and cities, requesting them to notify tourism establishments and homestay owners to provide information about their facilities, such as room capacity.
