The Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee held a meeting on August 28 with South Korea’s DRP Development Company to discuss the proposed golf course project in Gio Linh District.
During the meeting, DRP Development Vice Director Kim Byung Chang shared that in March 2024, the company’s leaders conducted a survey and developed a plan for a golf course and resort in Gio Linh. The project, covering 172.4 hectares in Trung Giang Commune, is expected to require an investment of US$100 million. It will include a 27-hole golf course, a golf academy, resort hotels, villas with pools, a welcome hall, therapeutic gardens, a water park, a casino, a media art museum, and performance rooms.

The company aims to complete the golf course before the Quang Tri Airport project is finished. They expressed the need for continued support from provincial and district authorities to ensure the project’s success. Chairman of the Quang Tri People’s Committee Vo Van Hung praised the proposal, affirming the province’s support and recognizing the project’s potential positive impact on the local economy and investor benefits.

However, Hung emphasized that DRP Development must commit to the project and adhere to all legal procedures in line with Vietnamese law. The province and relevant departments will continue to provide necessary information and support to facilitate the project’s development and complete the required documentation. Further meetings will be held to finalize key project details.
