These days, on national media, there is a hot topic about high school graduates who, despite their good academic performance, choose not to take the university entrance exam but pursue labor export to earn higher income and pay for their living expenses.
However, not only high school students but also many young people with courage, after graduating from university, are turning to the labor export market with specialization and high skills, which many foreign employers are targeting.
After graduating from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Science and Technology under the University of Danang, Tran Van T., from Gio An Commune, Gio Linh District, applied for jobs at many companies but then decided to borrow money to work in Japan five years ago. He has returned home with savings from working abroad, purchased land and built a three-story house for living in the beach city of Danang.
Thanks to his hard work in agricultural machinery manufacturing in Japan, he has become an expert in agricultural machinery manufacturing in the Central region, where many domestic enterprises desire to recruit.
The director of a large enterprise in Danang City said that skilled labor like T. in Vietnam is rare. While the country is implementing smart agriculture and adapting to climate change, he added that high-quality labor is needed, especially those trained in countries with advanced scientific and technical levels.
Also, in Gio An Commune, a female who graduated from the Academy of Journalism and Communication in Hanoi could not find a job because there was no available position in her field. She decided to go to work in South Korea. While working, she also studied at a university to enhance her specialization. With her hard work and appropriate arrangement of work and study time, she quickly earned money to send to her family to repay the loan for her university education in Vietnam. She has also contributed money to help her parents build a house.
There are many university graduates who choose to work overseas. Currently, this choice is quite popular in many localities across the country.
According to the Provincial Employment Service Center, the number of university graduates coming to the center to seek jobs overseas has been increasing. Many wanted to work in difficult labor markets like Japan, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.
Vocational education experts have said analyzed that in the past, labor export was seen as a positive solution to help young people who did not graduate from university. This has changed as the labor market currently focuses on skilled workers.
The Department of Overseas Labor under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs said that job opportunities for labor export are very high because many markets have a great demand for skilled, specialized labor and are willing to pay high salaries..
