Being spearheaded by a partnership between an acclaimed Indian production team and Vietnam’s Oxalis Co. The film crew, comprising over 100 members, is expected to spend three weeks capturing the mysterious beauty of Son Doong’s subterranean world.

In addition to Son Doong, the film will journey through Vietnam’s diverse landscapes, with scenes set in Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, and parts of Quang Tri Province, further highlighting the country’s breathtaking natural and cultural heritage.

SILAA is a poignant and emotionally rich story with a universal message of humanity and connection. By choosing Vietnam as its backdrop, the production not only embraces the visual splendor of the region but also underscores a growing cultural and tourism partnership between India and Vietnam. With Indian travelers increasingly seeking immersive experiences in Southeast Asia, Vietnam, with its extraordinary cave systems and vibrant culture, has emerged as a destination of choice.

The selection of Son Doong Cave as a primary filming location signals a momentous opportunity to elevate Vietnam’s image on the global stage. More than just a setting, Son Doong becomes a character in its own right, a symbol of Vietnam’s hidden wonders waiting to be discovered.

This cinematic venture is expected to ignite a wave of interest in the northern central region of Vietnam, particularly Quanng Tri Province, where nature, culture, and cinematic storytelling intersect. Often overshadowed, the province is now poised to develop unique tourism products that blend ecological adventure, indigenous culture, and film tourism.

Scheduled for global release in 2026, SILAA is projected to generate widespread media attention and significantly boost international tourism to the region. Destinations such as Thien Duong Cave, Chay River- Dark Cave, Mooc Stream, the beaches of Cua Tung and Cua Viet, and Con Co Island stand to benefit from the film’s far-reaching influence, inspiring a new wave of experiential travel.

With this unprecedented cinematic project, Vietnam wishes to expand its cinematic horizons while redefining its tourism identity, inviting the world to see, feel, and experience the country’s beauty through a captivating new lens.
