The Quang Tri Youth Union and Savannakhet Youth Union (Laos) launched a volunteer campaign on June 18 in Phin District, Savannakhet Province.
As part of the program, organizers donated three computer sets to the Savannakhet Provincial Youth Union, three blood pressure monitors to the Phin District Medical Center, and 30 backpacks to students from disadvantaged families. They also contributed essential supplies valued at nearly VND200 million (approximately US$8,000).

Alongside the donations, the volunteer team provided free medical check-ups and medicine to nearly 500 residents in villages across Phin District. They also organized health awareness sessions and guided locals on disease prevention measures.Nguyen Quoc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union, said the campaign is part of the 2025 Summer Volunteer Youth Month and the youth cooperation program between Quang Tri and Savannakhet provinces.He emphasized that the activity promotes the proactive, community-oriented spirit of Quang Tri’s youth and helps strengthen the special friendship and solidarity between the two provinces and the two brotherly nations of Vietnam and Laos.The campaign will run for three days, from June 18 to 20, 2025.
