Leaders of Quang Tri Province and Salavan Province have been actively engaging in discussions and implementing numerous activities outlined in the memorandum of understanding. The recent achievements stand as a testament to the solidarity and cooperation between the two local governments. Both sides aim for this conference to strengthen their collaborative relationship further.

During this event, delegations from both sides proposed and adopted several solutions for the period 2024-2026 to enhance and consolidate cooperation between the two localities. These initiatives include promoting solidarity among residents in border areas and intensifying efforts to disseminate information about the guidelines, policies, and laws of both countries.

The two sides agreed to promote cultural, artistic, and sports exchange activities during their holidays to foster solidarity and friendship. They are committed to actively implementing initiatives to reinforce the political system in border areas and foster harmonious solidarity among people of all ethnicities.

The two provinces’ agencies have promoted infrastructure development in the border area, building housing and creating employment opportunities for residents. Simultaneously, they have mobilized communities along the Salavan-Quang Tri border to participate in national defense and security efforts, safeguarding border regions.

Both provincial governments must enhance cooperation and village-level exchanges to address border-related issues swiftly. These efforts contribute to building a peaceful, friendly, and prosperous border region.

The parties must collaborate closely to address the needs of residents along the border, ensuring the protection of their legitimate rights and interests by the respective legal regulations of each country.
