The Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) will fund a VND1 billion (US$40,000) project to build a swimming pool at Cam Tuyen Primary and Secondary School in Cam Lo District, Quang Tri Province.
The initiative, approved by the provincial government and facilitated through the COPION organization, aims to prevent drowning among students and local residents.
The project includes a covered swimming pool spanning 269.1 square meters, a 140-square-meter concrete yard, changing rooms, and an electricity and water supply system. Construction is expected to be completed by September 2025.
The Cam Lo District Project Management Board for Land Development and Industrial Clusters will oversee implementation, ensuring efficient use of funds and collaboration with IBK and local authorities.
By enhancing access to swimming education, the project seeks to equip children and the community with essential life-saving skills, addressing a pressing public safety concern.
