The Quang Tri Union of Friendship Organization and the US-based Children of Vietnam Organization (COV) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on supporting community in Quang Tri for the period 2024-2028.

The Children of Vietnam pledged to support more than VND19 billion (US$748,000) for the project.

Accordingly, this Memorandum of Understanding focuses on some key tasks, including: building new or repairing classrooms in mountainous areas; providing rice and nutrition for students in mountainous districts; supporting the school for disabled children in Quang Tri; providing water filtration systems and scholarships for students and communities in remoted areas.

The project means a lot to Quang Tri in implementing the National Program on Strengthening Cooperation and Mobilizing Foreign Non-Governmental Aid for the period 2019-2025.

Established in 1998, Children of Vietnam is a US non-governmental organization serving children living in poverty with programs dedicated to providing them wraparound services designed to uplift and give them the positive future.
