Savannakhet delegation extends Tet greetings to Quang Tri

A delegation from Savannakhet Province, Laos, led by Provincial Inspection Committee Chairman Lamthong Khopsilavong, on January 16 visited Quang Tri Province to extend New Year greetings.

On behalf of Savannakhet Province, Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Committee Lamthong Khopsilavong extended best wishes for the Vietnamese Lunar New Year to the Party Committee, government, and people of Quang Tri Province.

He emphasized that despite many challenges, the friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam have continued to grow across all sectors.

Expressing gratitude and appreciation for Quang Tri’s cooperation and support in recent years, Lamthong Khopsilavong hoped the two provinces would maintain their strong relationship and further enhance cooperation programs. He stressed the importance of preserving and strengthening the Vietnam-Laos comprehensive partnership and wished Quang Tri success in achieving its socio-economic development goals for 2025.

Ho Thi Thu Hang, Chairwoman of the Provincial Inspection Committee of Quang Tri, welcomed the Savannakhet delegation and reaffirmed the deep bond between the Party Committees, governments, and people of the two provinces, strengthened through concrete and meaningful actions.

She congratulated Savannakhet on its recent achievements and shared key socio-economic, national defense, and security developments in Quang Tri. She also highlighted the province’s progress in Party building and administrative streamlining in 2024, reinforcing its commitment to fulfilling the goals of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and the 2021-2025 socio-economic development plan.

In an atmosphere of friendship and solidarity, Ho Thi Thu Hang affirmed that Quang Tri would continue strengthening cooperation with Savannakhet across various fields, further deepening and enhancing their partnership for mutual development and prosperity.
