He expressed hope that the MoU would strengthen comprehensive and responsible cooperation between Quang Tri and ENI Natural Energies Vietnam LLC (ENE), contributing to fulfilling international commitments on ecological and environmental protection made by both Vietnam and Italy.

Introducing the province’s advantages, Ha Sy Dong emphasized Quang Tri’s strategic geo-economic and political position. As an intersection of the North-South and East-West economic corridors, the province benefits from a well-developed transportation network, including road, rail, and maritime routes, with several key national transport arteries.

To maximize its role as a major trade gateway, Quang Tri is mobilizing significant resources for new transport infrastructure projects, which will serve as a foundation for economic development in the coming years. The province is also focusing on planning and expanding its electricity and wind power development strategies. Additionally, efforts are underway to accelerate the implementation of power generation and grid projects approved under Power Plan VIII, ensuring timely investment execution.

CEO Giacomo Spadini shared that before meeting with provincial leaders, his delegation had conducted site surveys at the Quang Tri Industrial Park, My Thuy Deep-Sea Port, key energy projects in the Southeastern Economic Zone, and transportation infrastructure developments. He expressed deep impressions of the significant transformations in these areas.

He emphasized that these developments provide a strong foundation for future projects, with the signing of the MoU on carbon credit development and agricultural materials as an initial step. He reaffirmed that all ENE projects are designed to receive positive community feedback, benefit local residents, and promote environmental sustainability.

During the meeting, both sides reached an agreement and officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in carbon credit development and agricultural materials in Quang Tri Province.
