In line with the policy of provincial People’s Committee on investment and trade relation strengthening with neighboring Lao provinces, Quang Tri Province has participated in the 5th Exhibition of “Hochiminh & Friendship Cities Expo”, held in Savannakhet, Laos.
This event, which runs from April 2 to 6, is an annual collaboration between the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Savannakhet Province, aimed at fostering deeper ties in trade, investment, and tourism between Vietnam and Laos.

The Quang Tri delegation, led by the Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion (IPA Quang Tri), is part of this significant initiative.
The province has set up a dedicated booth to showcase its investment environment, local tourism opportunities, and a variety of typical regional products. The booth has garnered significant attention from leaders, diplomatic representatives, and business communities from both Vietnam and Laos, as well as a large number of visitors.
This participation offers Quang Tri Province a valuable platform to promote its economic potential, strengthen trade relations, and attract investment opportunities not only from Laos but also from Thailand and other Southeast Asian markets. The event serves as an important opportunity to connect with distributors and businesses in the region, further enhancing the province’s global business network.

As part of the event, the Laos-Vietnam Trade and Investment Promotion Conference was held, alongside a Conference focused on developing distribution channels for goods from Ho Chi Minh City to Southeast Asian countries, facilitated through Vietnamese business associations in the region.
The expo will continue through April 6, 2025, featuring a series of activities aimed at further enhancing economic cooperation and strengthening regional ties between Vietnam, Laos, and neighboring countries.
