Melodies of Peace to take place in Quang Tri in July Vice

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Nam on March 29 presided over a meeting with iFLELLOWSHIP International Cooperation Organization, Vietnam - Korea Economic and Cultural Industry Association to prepare the organization of the Melodies of Peace – an international concert program - within the framework of the first Festival for Peace - 2024 in Quang Tri.

The music event, scheduled to take place on July 20, brings together seven domestic and international music troupes, using music to honor the value of world peace and unite people from all countries and regions.

It consists of two parts: Part 1, entitled Memories - people of Quang Tri, includes performances by Quang Tri artists, and Part 2, themed World Concert for Peace - Quang Tri and the World, covers a combined performance of international music troupes and Vietnamese artists.

Some typical performances are the choir “We Are the World” by 1,000 children, special performances by the Quang Tri art troupe, and acts from six international troupes, including the New York Orchestra, Parisian, Korean, Japanese, and Beijing art troupes.

The iFELLOWSHIP International Cooperation Organization, Vietnam - Korea Economic and Cultural Industry Association, have committed to sponsoring the program, ensuring its scale and quality as well as the performances of international troupes in line with the general spirit of the Festival for Peace, and introducing Quang Tri as a destination for peace.

Intrusted departments and agencies of Quang Tri have agreed on the program plan and simultaneously commented that it should demonstrate the identity of Quang Tri and the good qualities of local people, such as determination, solidarity, and friendliness.

Vice Chairman Nam highly appreciated the efforts of the organizations in building scripts and setting up plans for this event in a short time, confirming the companionship and active support of the People’s Committee.

He also noted that the program needs to highlight Quang Tri as a peaceful destination and spread the province’s image to the world.

Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Nam recommended choosing typical Vietnamese songs about peace stories, particularly emphasizing Quang Tri as a destination for peace, in combined performances between Vietnam and other countries. The Provincial People’s Committee has directed relevant departments and agencies to coordinate closely with the organizing unit to remove difficulties, prepare well for the location, and ensure security, health facilities, communication and accommodation.
