Inauguration and handover of Trieu Thuan kindergarten in Quang Tri

The People’s Committee of Trieu Phong District, in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs, on April 17 organized a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over the Trieu Thuan Kindergarten, sponsored by the US Indo-Pacific Command.

The Trieu Thuan Kindergarten project, implemented from 2023 to 2024, involves a $511,800 investment and contains a two-story flood-resistant building with six classrooms and two functional rooms.The project aims to improve infrastructure and equipment, meeting teaching and learning standards for teachers and children at Trieu Thuan Kindergarten.

It contributes to the school’s goal of becoming a national standard institution and promoting education and training in the future.

This is the 7th project implemented by the US Indo-Pacific Command in collaboration with Quang Tri Province since 2005.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Ha Sy Dong, emphasized the importance of this inauguration ceremony, marking the sustainable and effective cooperation between Quang Tri Province and the US Indo-Pacific Command.

The project was inaugurated and handed over in 2024, a significant year for Vietnam and the US to implement cooperative activities within the framework of the Comprehensive Partnership for Peace, Cooperation, and Sustainable Development, aiming to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the US (1995-2025).

The Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee expressed the desire to continue receiving long-term cooperation and support from the US Indo-Pacific Command, the US Office of Defense Cooperation, and the US Embassy in Vietnam for Quang Tri Province.
