Secretary of the Quang Tri Province Party Committee Le Quang Tung attended a meeting between the Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man and representatives of Gazprom, aiming to boost economic and investment cooperation with Vietnamese localities, including Quang Tri Province.
With the approval of the Party Central Secretariat and the National Assembly Chairman, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation for Quang Tri Province Le Quang Tung joined the high-level delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam.

This delegation, led by Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, made an official visit to the Russian Federation from September 8-10, 2024. Accompanying the high-level delegation was Le Thi Lan Huong, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.

As part of his working agenda, Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung met with leaders of Gazprom International and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) to discuss and explore measures to accelerate the development of the Quang Tri gas-fired power project, for which Gazprom International is the primary investor.
Earlier, Secretary Le Quang Tung participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in Moscow, visited the Embassy of Vietnam, met with embassy staff and the Vietnamese community in Russia, attended the third session of the Vietnam-Russia Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, and took part in various important activities as assigned by the National Assembly Chairman.
